Individual Therapy
“Heather excels at attending to the therapeutic relationship, with mindfulness to attachment, identity, and what is unfolding in the moment. She makes the art of somatic therapy look nourishing, accessible and inviting.”
Therapy looks a little different for everybody and it’s important to me that we work to find what works for you. I believe that good therapy not only provides a warm, judgement-free environment to explore issues, but also challenges us to move closer to the feelings and experiences that make us human.
I work with adults (18+) from diverse identities and backgrounds, with a wide variety of therapeutic goals.
Here are the areas I specialize in:
- Low self-esteem, negative self beliefs, low self-worth, issues about belonging and safety
- Articulating values and cultivating life purpose
- Relational trauma, attachment issues, early wounding, childhood abuse and neglect – developmental trauma
- People who identify as leaders, teachers, and healing practitioners who know their own healing work is crucial for effectiveness and satisfaction within their roles
- Inter- and transgenerational trauma, epigenetic somatic inheritance
- Codependency, emotional intimacy, letting love in, cultivating self-love and self-attachment
- Queerness, non-conformity, and living life outside of mainstream culture
- Navigating gender, sexuality/asexuality identities, and meaningful relationships
- Spiritual awakening, transformation, and post-traumatic growth
- Perfectionism
* Please note that I do not offer crisis services or case management related to legal or child custody matters.
